About the event
The 9th Singapore International Choral Festival Opening Concert is a collaboration between ONE Chamber Choir and yIN Harmony, showcasing the unifying power of music through innovative programming.
Founded by Singapore Cultural Medallion recipient, Dr. Ghanavenothan Retnam, and his mentee, Dr. QingLun Tan, yIN Harmony is a multi-ethnic orchestra that exemplifies Singapore’s vibrant multiculturalism. Featuring talented musicians such as Megat Firdaus, a 2024 NAC Arts Scholarship recipient, this ensemble celebrates diversity and community through its music.
Complementing yIN Harmony will be a performance by ONE Chamber Choir, under the artistic direction of Ms. Lim Ai Hooi, a highly respected choral conductor and educator. Over the years, ONE Chamber Choir has garnered accolades for their technical precision and emotive artistry, representing Singapore at numerous international choral festivals.
